Support Services

We Support You

As a beneficiary of BlueActionBANOS, you will gain access to a tailored support system designed to help you implement your Community-Led Action or Transition Agenda effectively. We offer individual, targeted support that responds to your specific needs and challenges. At the same time, we offer group-based assistance for clusters of communities working on similar topics, so you can benefit from shared learning, peer exchange, and collaborative problem-solving.

Project Key Accounts

Each funded project is assigned a dedicated Project Key Account, which will be your main point of contact within the BlueActionBANOS consortium. Project Key Accounts act as facilitators and mentors, helping you navigate the support ecosystem, access relevant resources, and coordinate with experts. And most importantly, they serve as door-openers to the full range of assistance available within the BlueActionBANOS project.

Technical Assistance Experts

In addition to the support provided by the Project Key account, you will be able to draw on the expertise of dedicated Technical Assistance Experts, who are specialists in areas such as low-trophic aquaculture, port/marina management, sustainable blue tourism, ocean or freshwater regeneration, low-impact fisheries, and more. Technical Assistance Experts provide individual counselling, contribute to Expert Forums, and help you apply best practices and tools to your local context.

National Contact Points

In each of the 11 BANOS countries, you will have access to a National Contact Point, a local expert from the BlueActionBANOS consortium who understands your national context and can help you connect with other projects in your region. The National Contact Points facilitate coordination, encourage collaboration, and promote a coherent approach to implementing Mission Ocean objectives at the national level. Through the National Contact Point, you gain access to country-specific knowledge, stakeholder networks, and opportunities for joint activities with other communities.
